French apple tart

I was searching on Pinterest for an “easy tart” recipe from where I was redirected to here where I found this great recipe. The occasion was a name day but since then I have prepared it for several other times since I liked it pretty much.

For the shortcrust pastry:

  • 275 g plain flour
  • 140 g chilled and cubed butter
  • 4 tbsp cold water

For the filling:

  • 2-3 medium-sized, firm apples
  • 50 g flour
  • 125 g powdered sugar
  • 3-4 eggs (depends on size)
  • 170 ml sour cream
  • 1 heaped tsp ground cinnamon

You can work out the dough the day before, but before baking put the dough for an hour in the refrigerator after you hand-kneaded with the mentioned ingredients above.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface, place into a buttered baking dish. Preheat oven to 200 ° C. While the oven is heating up, peel the apples, cut it in half, then into thin slices of equal thickness. Mix the flour, powdered sugar, cinnamon, eggs, sour cream using a hand whisk. Place the apple slices on the dough, in any form, then pour out the dressing.

Bake for 30-35 minutes. The tart is the most delicious after baking, but also very tasty on the next day. To flavor sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving, although vanilla ice cream is mentioned in the original recipe, I have not tried with yet, but I am surely will.
