Walnut-apple red cabbage

Simple red cabbage salad in autumn edition, with walnut and apple.

Ingredients:

  • one small red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 25 g butter
  • one apple
  • 100 ml apple vinegar
  • one bayleaf
  • some cloves
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • a handful of walnut
Walnut-apple red cabbage

Put the cabbage, butter, peeled and rasped apple, bayleaf and cloves into a pan. Cook the cabbage until it collapse slightly, stir often. Add the vinegar, but be careful not to breath the steam of it. Cook till the vinegar has evaporated. Than comes the suger, melt it but not let it burn. When you serve sprinkle with walnut.
